Barriers to Continuing Education of the Unemployed in the Age Groups Endangered in the Labor Market

Tomáš Kolomazník Název práce: Bariéry dalšího vzdělávání nezaměstnaných z hlediska věku ohrožených na trhu práce Abstract The thesis "Barriers to continuing education of the unemployed in the age groups endangered in the labor market" examines the barriers to continuing education in unemployed groups of age 15-25 and 50-64 in the Czech Republic, both of which are often referred to as disadvantaged in the labor market. These age groups are characterized by a low rate of participation in continuing education, while having very specific needs and problems. The aim of this work is to identify the most frequent barriers in the education of the above-mentioned groups, to find out the differences between them and to explore their sociodemographic predictors. For the statistical analysis, data from the Kooperace research conducted by the Fund of Further Education was used. The first chapter defines the concepts of adult education, disadvantaged groups in labor market and introduces different concepts of barriers to education. Furthermore, the most important surveys of adult education in the Czech Republic are presented. The Economic Impacts of Active Employment Policy

The goal of this thesis is to conclude the Active Employment Policy, its tools, advantages and disadvantages and to find an effective solution. The Issue of Unemployment is described continuing with new methods and their utilization in the Czech Republic and then in the Vysocina Region. One of the biggest issues is a fact that nowadays do not exist any evaluations of the results of tools of effectivity which leads to creating a bias in their benefits for the society. A big part of the state budget goes into expenses of the Active Employment Policy, nevertheless it is not known their progress. Consistent analyses and controls of using these tools described in this thesis might lead to a solution but another issue can be showed up, e.g. Act No. 101/2000 Coll., on the Protection of Personal Data. It can be theoretically contacted that some of the tools and methods are not as effective as the society needs, on the other hand it is hard to substantiate the real results.
Economic and social impacts of the development to employment in Usti region

This thesis Economic and social impacts of employment growth in the Ústí region will focus on the issue of unemployment, which is a problem affecting the life and character throughout the region. The thesis will consists of two main parts, theoretical and practical. In the theoretical part, the work will be focused to the characterization and description of the main terms associated with unemployment, the labor market or instruments of active and passive policy of unemployment reduction. In the practical part, attention will be paid to the characteristics of the Ústí region, focusing on economic, geographic or social terms. Further writes through the use of time series of employment and unemployment in the Ústí region. Also presented graphically, for example, the unemployment rate, unemployment in terms of education levels, unemployment on the basis of gender or whether they are more at risk of unemployment men or women. Inside the private research will be the prediction of graduates registered at labour offices in the Ústí region, which will be subsequently formulated the basic causes of this situation and will propose a solution that could help the graduates in the easier application at the labour market.
Disadvantaged Groups in the Labor Market, Focusing on Persons Older than 50 Years

This diploma thesis deals with the situation of disadvantaged groups in the labor market, who have, by law, received more attention in the matter of procurement of their jobs. There are five characterised disadvantaged groups in the diploma thesis. The main focus is on the group of persons over the age of 50. Within the framework of this group of older persons the diploma thesis displays the demographic progress of the population of Czech Republic. In the context of this progress there is disquisition about changing attractiveness of older persons in the labor market. The employing support of the disadvantaged groups is tackled by policy of employment and some chosen projects.

The thesis deals with theme unemployment of disadvantaged groups. In theoretical part are clarified approaches to study and defined terms, which are used in thesis, asses the situation of labor market in Czech Republic. Then are defined disadvantaged groups, analyzed theirs disadvantages, problems and consequences to claim in the labor market. In practical part, author deals with support integration of disadvantaged groups; it deals with strategic documents of problems of unemployment from EU to town level. The thesis deals with the active labor market policy and social firm as a type of support integration disadvantaged groups to labor market. Object of thesis is finding, on the basis analyze, actual state of labor market and possibilities of integration disadvantaged groups in period of finances deficiency and with less possibilities of welfare state supports.
Less-favoured Groups on the Labour Market in the Czech Republic, Possibility of National Assistance

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to identify less-favoured groups and determine how these groups help the state. In the theoretical part, I would like to define the concepts associated with the labor market and outline how the labor market is implemented. I also explained what are disadvantaged in the labor market and I would suggest, why they are disadvantaged. The state helps unemployed active employment policy, so I imagine all the instruments of this policy. In the practical part, I would like to represent civic associations and windows to enumerate the contributions received. In this section I wanted to compare the data of selected offices of the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, where information is published. Data will include unemployment, job seekers and active employment policy.
